Abstract:
The ATLAS and CMS collaborations have announced discovery of a 125 GeV Higgs boson, after a combined analysis of the di-photon and ZZ search channels. This observation has signicant impact on low-energy supersymmetry. First, some fine-tuning is necessary to accommodate such a Higgs mass in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) because the tree-level mass of the SM-like Higgs boson in the MSSM is relatively small.
Second, the observed di-phton rate is about twice of the SM prediction, while in the MSSM it tends to be suppressed. We explicitly show that in the D-term extensions of the MSSM, the SM-like Higgs mass and its di-photon decay width can get sizable corrections from the D-terms and exotics for anomaly cancelation, respectively. An enhanced di-photon rate as well as a mass ~125 GeV for the
SM-like Higgs boson therefore can be simultaneously achieved.
