张东方,上海交通大学长聘教轨副教授、博士生导师。2006年本科毕业于山东大学,2009年获复旦大学硕士学位,师从钱列加教授,2013年获德国汉堡大学/马克思普朗克研究所博士学位,师从马克思普朗克研究所结构动力学所长Dwayne Miller教授。2015-2017,德国汉堡大学博士后,合作导师Franz Kartner教授,2018-2021德国电子同步加速器研究所研究员。2021年入职上海交通大学,入选国家(青年)及上海市海外高层次人才计划。
主要从事超快科学研究,将经典超快激光技术推进至超快电子和加速器自由电子激光的崭新方向。在激光驱动太赫兹加速器领域做出突出贡献,设计并实验验证了世界上第一台实用化太赫兹微型控制设备(STEAM),实现激光驱动太赫兹加速电子的世界记录。发表SCI论文多篇,包括以第一/通信作者发表Nature Photonics (两篇),Optica,Physical Review X,Science Advances,Nature communications, Applied Physics Reviews 等高端期刊(IF>10)论文。其中以第一作者和通信作者发表Nature Photonics 封面文章(2018)入选ESI 高被引论文,被Science Daily、Lightsources 等十余家国外科技主流媒体报道,并且在International Photonics and Optoelectronics Meeting 上获得“Frontiers of Information Optoelectronics”奖。入选2019德国赫姆霍兹联合会“领导创新影响力”项目。2024年实现了太赫兹电子枪从概念到应用的跨越,再次在Nature Photonics上发表论文并入选封面文章,并被Gyula Polónyi 和 János Hebling在Nature Photonics上特别新闻报道,入选DESY年度亮点工作。
